Media Literacy Training for High School Students: MEET Western Balkans

American Councils is happy to offer a unique training for high school students from the Western Balkans region in the field of media literacy!

Media Education Exchange Talks: Western Balkans is an online learning program for high school students who wish to learn about media literacy and meet virtually (or in-person at a conference in Belgrade, Serbia) other students from the region.

If you are a high school student from Albania, BiH, Kosovo, Montenegro, N. Macedonia, and Serbia, you speak English and you want to learn more about media literacy - please click the apply now button below.

Participating high school students will be taught a focused curriculum that would allow them to disclose and prevent disinformation, falsified information, and propaganda through examination of news discourses, media agenda, infotainment phenomena, public/private interests in media, film, music, etc.

MEET Western Balkans is administered by American Councils for International Education. Funds for this program come from the Balkan Trust for Democracy, a project of the German Marshall Fund of the United States, and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
